Ecole de Patience: Chas Laborde War Illustrations, Monaco 1951, Limited Edition

Limited Edition, one of only 382 copies printed on Rives, contains many illustrations throughout. The illustrations are taken from the notebook and sketchbooks that Chas Laborde had brought back from the front during the war of 1914 - 1918. The 17 drawings in the notebook were engraved on copper and printed by F. Nourisson, and the 20 drawings in the notebooks were engraved on wood by André Marliat and Robert Armanelli. The colors were done by hand by Hélène Guy Laborde and Jane Massinot. Excellent condition.
