Step back in time to the vibrant world of German Expressionism with this extraordinarily rare "Almanach auf das Jahr 1920." This limited edition treasure, numbered H 84 of only 750 copies, is printed on exquisite Japan Vellin paper and published by Verlag Fritz Gurlitt, Berlin. It's a true collector's dream, featuring an original woodcut by Max Pechstein (with tissue guard, page 192) and an original etching by Lovis Corinth (page 184), making it a cornerstone piece for any serious art or book collector.

This magnificent edition is rich with artistic detail, including illustrated endpapers by Max Pechstein and a frontispiece original black and white lithograph by Lovis Corinth. The title pages are beautifully designed with black double framing, printed in striking red and black. A four-page calendar features red framing and four lithographically reproduced drawings by Max Pechstein.

The Almanach boasts contributions from literary and artistic giants such as Alfred Polgar, Lovis Corinth, Herbert Eulenberg, J. Meier-Graefe, Max von Boehn, Novalis, and Oskar Kokoschka. It's further enriched with numerous black and white reproductions of line etchings by Max Pechstein, Edvard Munch, Lovis Corinth, Otto Müller, Willi Geiger, Lesser Ury, Heinrich Zille, Erich Heckel, Constantin Somow, Oskar Kokoschka, reproduced lithographically. Additionally, discover offset reproductions of works by Hans Thoma, Ferdinand Hodler, Lovis Corinth, Max Slevogt, Caesar Klein, Richard Seewald, Wilhelm Wagner, Willi Geiger and many others. The book also includes twenty-two pages of Gurlitt publisher's books, graphics, and art plates, with an additional twenty-two illustrated pages of publisher's advertisements at the rear. The text is in German. While the binding shows some damage as depicted in the photos, this only adds to its authentic vintage charm and historical significance. Own a piece of art history, a scarce edition with all original artworks intact.
