Vintage Disney's The Tortoise and the Hare, 1935 First Edition

This is the very scarce 10.25" x 9" First Edition published by David McKay Company in 1935. This is an expanded version w/ 48 pages, w/additional text and images (including nine color plates) not seen in the much more common Whitman version.

Condition: No dust jacket. Pictorial spine torn off showing binding webbing. Heavy signs of shelf wear around edges of pictorial boards. Otherwise good throughout and binding is intact. Acceptable (+) condition for its age.
