All Men Are Brothers, Shui Hu Chuan, One Volume Edition, Pearl S. Buck. 1937 Fifth Printing of the 1st Edition, One Volume Edition, ex-library copy rebound in library cloth for library use. Good condition overall, solid binding. The John Day Company

"All Men Are Brothers" is not an original work by Pearl S. Buck, but rather her 1933 English translation of Shui Hu Chuan (Water Margin) by Shi Nai'an, a classic of Chinese literature. The novel, written in the 14th century, tells the story of a group of 108 outlaws during the Northern Song dynasty. Buck's translation contributed to the cultural exchange between East and West and is considered a significant development of the Chinese novel.
