Very scarce book titled "Erna The Forest Princess, or, Pilgrimage of the Three Wise Men to Bethlehem" translated from the German of Gustav Nieritz by Mrs. H. C. Conant, published in 1856 by Erastus Darrow & Brother in Rochester, NY. This copy is in acceptable condition, having some tearing along the spine, bound in brown embossed cloth and gilt-titled, minor cracked hinge but remains loosely intact, features one illustration of the wise men on ffep. Has gift inscription to original owner dated 1859 along with an original poetic verse that states "May the wrath of virtue entwine thy heart, and may [illegible] be thy prize".
