Very scarce book titled "The Negro Professional Man and the Community" (With Special Emphasis on the Physician and the Lawyer) by Carter Godwin Woodson. Published in 1934 by The Association for the Study of Negro Life and History. Hardcover blue cloth boards and black text titles, has seen some repair with cloth tape in the past which was tastefully done in half leather style. The foreword page has a tear with cracked hinge, but the book remains nicely and completely bound, and the remainder of the internal book is clean. Overall a good reading copy. About the author: Carter G. Woodson, known as "The Father of Black History" was the second Black person to earn a Ph.D. from Harvard University.
