Very scarce early printing of this classic work on carpentry and masonry. From the book: "A Practical treatise giving shortest methods on roof framing and how to use the steel square..." This copy is in an attractive purple cloth with gilt titles, a small book measuring only 4" x 5.5", the pages are slightly curled due to age but does not affect readability. Has attractive original owner's inscription in quill ink on front pastedown, signed in Scotland, Great Britain, early 1900s.
